Hey guys! Hope y’all are doing well. 🙂
Today I wanted to try out a new foundation. Although the hype has somewhat diminished over this foundation, I still have heard many people talk about the product. So I figured I’d give it a go!
I’m going to talk you through from start to finish. From application of the product, to an all day wear test and my final thoughts and opinions. I have a busy day of travelling and visiting family today, so it will be put to the ultimate test. I hope you guys enjoy!
I have the foundation in 3.25 and I’m thinking the foundation may be a tinge too dark. But we will see once I’ve applied it.
Alright, the foundation color ended up being the PERFECT shade!
I have dry skin, not acne prone, but I do have large(r) pores. Knowing my skin type will help you form the best opinion and thoughts based off my review today.
Before application, I used my daily Aveeno moisturizer (that I’ve mentioned previously), and DermBlend Jelly primer.
I applied this foundation with my beauty blender today, and found that worked GREAT. It was very easily distributed and blended in well with the beauty blender.
I applied my concealer, powder, bronzer, blush, and highlighter as I typically would any other day. Followed by my eyebrows and very minimal eye make up.
My first thoughts on this foundation?
- I did find that my pores were still somewhat visible after applying. But once I used my concealer and setting powder, my pores were no longer visible at all. I find this with any foundation I used, so I was honestly really impressed overall!
My thoughts on foundation after all my makeup was applied?
- I am seriously impressed with this foundation! I definitely like the product a lot more than anticipated. I thought it was going to be a ‘thick’ feeling foundation, but I was wrong. I love the matte finish, pores are completely concealed, and it works really well on my dry skin!
- It was great because it set really well with my concealer and translucent powder!
Later on today:
After running a few errands in the humid weather, my face make up is still holding up super well! I do find that my ‘smile lines’ are somewhat beginning to form, but nothing that is overly bothering me yet. Not oily in my problem areas, and just holding up really well in general.
End of Day Update:
- My final thoughts on this Urban Decay foundation is two thumbs UP! It still looks really good after wearing the product all day. I was not expecting to enjoy this foundation as much as I did. The shade I chose (3.25) matched perfectly, and I was worried! I will definitely be continuing to wear it on a more regular basis. I’m not sure how it would work with oily skin, but I can say as someone who has dry skin, it worked SO well!
I hope you guys enjoyed this review, and found it helpful!
