Around The House Part 2 (Decorating Edition)

Hey y’all! I hope you’re having a good day. What are your plans for the remainder of the weekend?

We did a lot of adulting this morning; we went grocery shopping (my least favorite thing to do) and went to Costco. I recently purchased a few things to add to my apartment so I put those decorations out after cleaning this afternoon. I also decided to start decorating for the holidays, just the few things I had purchased thus far. I hope you guys enjoy! I will put where everything is from below their photos, in case you’re interested in purchasing! 😊

The kitty is not a new purchase butttttt the mat he’s laying on is. I wanted a small mat to put under my kitchen sink, so I picked this one up from Marshall’s. Most of the decorations in my kitchen area include the color yellow, so this mat went perfectly.

They’re a bit wrinkly in this picture, please do not mind that, but I purchased new black out curtains off Amazon. We previously had black curtains (see below), but they didn’t go with our bedroom decor.

I love the difference it made in our bedroom, just make’s the space feel so bright.

So this glass milk jug is actually a thrift store find! It was $ 2.00 I believe? And then I purchased a variation of fake flowers from the Dollarama to make the arrangement. I absolutely love it! In this photo it was in my living room but I’ve now moved it to my kitchen. So cute!

Ok, but how adorable is this cactus? I saw it in a local store called Mister Music, and HAD to have it!

I purchased this wall hanging from Marshall’s, how could I not? I had an empty spot above my chair in the living room, so it was the perfect fit.

I had this wooden sign made at my local craft store called Mama’s Treasure’s. It was under $ 35.oo’s, and I was able to customize it with all our names, it makes our living room feel so homey.

Holiday Decor:

I added the extra Christmas lights I had to our headboard. It looks super cute in person, and is a little something without having to change to much in this space.

I wanted to keep my mantel simplistic for the most part. So I added a glittered deer and gold sparkly tree that I purchased from the Dollarama, a few gold Christmas tree bulbs that are from Winners, and battery operated lights that are also from the Dollarama. This mantel looks so cute and cost me under $ 10.00 to decorate.

This was an old picture frame I have had for a couple years. I love having photographs around my apartment so I switched out a regular frame for this holiday one.

These are the last few pieces I added. The two throw pillows are from the same local craft store Mama’s treasure’s, the glittery Christmas tree from the Dollarama, and my peppermint Bath & Body Work’s Candle.

I hope you guys enjoyed this edition of ‘around the house’. Let me know in the comments: does it snow where you live? And if so, has it yet? We haven’t had any snow here yet! 😊

Talk again soon xo
